How does this compare to traditional architectural services?

There are four traditional architectural services, as follows:

STAGE 1. Concept design sketch ($15,000 to $45,000)

This service helps clients translate their ideas into a floorplan, showing the size and layout of spaces: a starting point from which to build detail.

STAGE 2. Design development ($5,000 to $15,000)

This stage involves refining and adding detail to the concept floor plan, to show the layout of cabinetry and fittings in the space, as well as developing the exterior look of the building.

STAGE 3. Town planning ($8,000 to $20,000)

The stage involves developing the design to meet council guidelines and then generating a documentation set from this, to submit to council for a town planning permit application.

STAGE 4. Construction documentation ($22,000 to $50,000)

The design is developed to meet building permit requirements, including structural details, as well as detailed interiors and a documentation set is generated to submit to a building surveyor for a building permit application.
